Who May Enter
Competition is open to promotion, advertising, marketing and PR agencies, consultancies, in-house agencies and marketing departments at client companies, or other parties involved in the development of a promotion.
Campaigns must have closed in the 12 months prior to the deadline date of May 12, 2006. The launch date is not a concern; only the date the campaign ended. You must be able to support your results in order to be considered a viable entry. If your campaign has closed but you do not have results calculated prior to May 12, 2006 do not submit your entry this year (it will be eligible in the 2007 awards program). Any campaign that did not have results calculated in time to enter the 2005 PRO Awards is eligible to enter this year.

The Judging Process
Entries are reviewed by a panel of judges representing creative, strategic,
and tactical expertise from brand marketing companies and agencies. Each campaign
is evaluated equally on:
- Concept: strength and relevance of concept for
objectives and target audience
- Originality: innovation in the concept
- Execution: quality of campaign execution
- Results: achievement compared with objectives
Winner Selection
There will be four finalists selected in each category.
All finalists will be notified by phone, mail and email at the beginning of August
2006. Winners will be announced at the PRO Awards Party & Presentation on Wednesday, October
11, 2006 during PROMO Live in the Grand Ballroom at the Navy Pier
in Chicago.
Industry-Wide Recognition
All
finalist campaigns will be featured in a special PRO Awards section in
PROMO’s September 2006 issue. A case study of each category winner
will be featured in the November 2006 issue of PROMO.
Each finalist chosen
in each category will be showcased in the Creative Gallery in the exhibit
hall during PROMO Live 2006, a display viewed by more than
2,500 attendees.
Finally,
on October 11, 2006, the coveted PRO Awards crystal will be awarded to
the BEST promotion in each category at the PRO Awards Party & Presentation honoring the
finalists and winners. One campaign will be named Best Promotion
of the Year. All finalists will be presented with
a finalist’s award at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Worldwide Recognition
The PRO Awards is the exclusive gateway for U.S. entries into the Globes
competition, the most prestigious international promotion awards program
in the world. PRO Awards finalists are automatically entered into the
Globes to compete in their respective categories for the opportunity
to be recognized as Best Promotion in the World. No additional fee is
required — each PRO Awards finalist will receive instructions on
how to submit their information electronically to the Globes for their
judging process. |
