Who Can I Contact if I have Questions About the PRO Awards?

You can contact Marci Werner, PRO Awards Director at marci.werner@penton.com or 203-358-4397.

What is the Deadline for Entries?

There are 2 deadlines:

  • June 27, 2008 Regular Deadline:
  • July 11, 2008 Late Deadline: (additional fees apply)

There will be an additional fee of $125 automatically added to each entry submitted and/or unpaid after 11:59 PST on June 27th. Your entry must be finalized and paid in full prior to be eligible for the regular deadline fee. No exceptions.

What Promotions Are Eligible?

Promotion campaigns must have closed in the 12 months prior to the deadline date of June 27, 2008. The launch date is not a concern; only the date the campaign ended. If your campaign has closed but you do not have results calculated prior to July 11th, (the late deadline) do not submit your entry this year (it will be eligible in the 2009 awards program).

Are the PRO Awards Open to Companies Outside of the United States?

YES. For the first time the PRO Awards is a Global program and we are accepting entries from all countries. The entries however must be made in English.

Can I Submit a Promotion Campaign into More Than One Category?

YES. A promotion campaign may be entered into multiple categories or you may click on the link called List of Your Company's Entries at the top of Steps 2-6 in the entry process and if a campaign has been finalized you will have the option to click on Add This Campaign to Another Category.

Our web based entry program has made it easier than ever to enter a campaign in more than one category. Once you have entered your campaign information into our system and finalized your campaign you will be given the option to enter that campaign into another category. You will simply click on the box to Enter a Campaign into Another Category and follow the directions.

All information will automatically pre-populate and you can either edit some or all of the information and then finalize. The system will always give you the option once you finalize an entry to keep entering it into another category. You can keep entering your campaign into as many categories as you like. Additional fees do apply.

Keep in mind that the samples and write-up should reflect each category you are entering so we do recommend that you edit some of your entry information to satisfy each category parameter. You may change some of your write-up or you may wish to add or delete certain promotion samples.

There is a separate entry fee for each category you enter. Discounts do apply for multiple entries. See pricing at the top of the home page.

How Can My Company Receive Multiple Entry Discounts?

The PRO Awards bases discounts on the number of categories and campaigns a company enters. It’s important that all your company’s entries be logged in using the same user name and password. It is your responsibility to designate whose email will be used for the user name and to determine the password. Please communicate to all your departments and locations alerting everyone entering the PRO Awards that they must use the user name and password set up in the system by your company, for your company.

Failure to enter all your company’s campaigns under one user name and password will result in multiple discounts not being applied, if you have not reached the threshold number of entries. The PRO Awards will not combine entries after the fact to achieve a discount if a company creates different user names and passwords. Make sure to inquire within your company to make sure that no one has already set up an account on the PRO Awards site before creating a user name and password.

Please see the PRO Awards Home Page for exact fees for each entry.

How Can I Pay For My Submissions?

You can pay by either credit card or check.

If paying by credit card you will have the opportunity to put in your information into the entry process once you have created a unique user name and password. All credit cards will not be charged until July 18, 2008 so that the PRO Awards may grant discounts based on how many entries a company submits. Companies may pay for entries with multiple credit cards and will be charged accordingly. When paying with multiple credit cards, each cardholder will receive a receipt emailed on or before July 31, 2008.

Can I View My Submission Before I Finalize It?

Yes, you will be able to view your entry at any time. You can view and edit your entry as long as it has not been finalized. When you finalize your entry you will still be able to view it but your entry becomes a “Read Only” document at this point it cannot be edited. Make absolutely sure you have checked all spelling, uploaded all samples and gotten any approval you need internally before you finalize your entry!

What Happens if I do Finalize my Entry and Need to Make Edits?

The PRO Awards can unfinalize your entry for a fee of $25.00 per category. Please contact Richard Frink at richardf@goalscommunications.com with the info. about unfinalizing your entry. Make sure to list the campaign title, company name and category. If you finalized your entry before June 27, 2008 and we unfinalize your entry after June 27, 2008 you will also be charged the late fee of $125.00 per entry we unfinalize.

Can Others View or Make Changes to My Entry?

Yes, as long as you provide them with your unique user name and password they will be able to view your entry and or make changes to it as long as it has not be finalized. If your entry has been finalized they can view the entry but cannot make changes to it.

When Will I Be Notified if I Become a Finalist?

The primary contact of the entry will be notified during the week September 15, 2008 by phone, email and then will receive a package via UPS by the end of September with a finalist certificate and other information needed for the awards presentation.

All non-finalists will be notified by the first week of October 2008 via the mail.
